The Andersons PGF Balanced 10-10-10 Fertilizer with Micronutrients and 2% Iron (5,000 sq ft)

Why should you buy it? #

PGF Balanced 10-10-10 quick-release fertilizer should only be used according to the schedule at very specific times. It is quick-acting delivering a quick punch to the grass that feeds it for about 30 days. This is what’s need to ease grass out of growing as temperatures cool off just before winter dormancy and in spring to get the grass greening up quickly. All the rest of the year you should be using the PGF Complete 16-4-8 slow-release fertilizer.

If you only have cheap 10-10-10 or 13-13-13 all-purpose fertilizer that is okay to use as well but the particles on those are typically much larger and don’t give you as good a spread as PGF Balanced will. In addition to the small particle size that distributes well, PGF Balanced will also include micronutrients and iron that the regular 10-10-10 or 13-13-13 from Home Depot and Lowes do not have. Those cheap bags are about 33 lbs to 40 lbs and PGF Balanced is 18 lbs. So PGF Balanced is very expensive for the amount you get. Again, it’s great for many reasons but if you need to just use the cheap stuff that will work as well. Just pay attention to your spread pattern and make sure it is even since the prill size (particle size) is so large in them.

You can use PGF Balanced fertilizer just fine on grass, vegetables, trees, shrubs, flowers, etc. as it is a balanced fertilizer.
